Wide receiver Amari Cooper left the game on the Cowboys’ last practice, missing two games. Coach Mike McCarthy said Monday that Cooper is suffering from a rib injury.
“We’ll see how he feels on Wednesday,” McCarthy said, via the team’s website’s Rob Phillips. “I would probably put it in the classification of bruises (ribs).”
The Cowboys have an extra day this week, with their home opener Monday night against the Eagles.
Cooper caught three passes for 24 yards on Sunday and recorded 16 receptions for 163 yards and two touchdowns in two games.
McCarthy said starting defensive tackle Carlos Watkins (knee) and defensive end Dorance Armstrong (ankle) had suffered injuries since Sunday.
The Cowboys will see defensive end Randy Gregory return on Wednesday. He spent more than a week on the COVID-19 reserve list after testing positive for the virus despite his vaccination.
