Amazon Brings Group Calling to Echo Devices in the US

[ad_1]

As promised, Amazon is adding group calls to Echo devices – just in time for those socially distant vacation gatherings. If you live in the United States, you can use Alexa to start a group call on our Echo speaker or display. As long as someone in your circle has created a group, any member of that group can start a voice or video chat with other members. As you can imagine, this could be especially useful for connecting with family.

You will have alternatives. Zoom and Amazon Chime calling are deployed on the Echo Show 8 so you can join video conferences without having to search for a laptop or portable device. One-on-one chats, on the other hand, now offer closed captioning for voice and video calls on all Echo Show devices. This can be vital if you are hard of hearing or just have a noisy household.
