Amazon is launching offers worthy of Black Friday today

Amazon is kicking off the holiday shopping season earlier than ever. The e-commerce giant announced Monday that it would unveil “Black Friday-worthy” offers from Monday across all categories of its site.

You can view the day’s discounts at Epic Deals section of Amazon’s website or mobile app, or by asking “Alexa, what are my offers?” ”

In time for the holiday season, Prime members in the US can now send gifts to friends and family with just an email address or cell phone number using the Amazon shopping app. You don’t need to know the recipient’s address.

The new purchasing functionality allows the recipient to add their mailing address after purchasing the gift. After marking the order as a gift and adding the recipient’s phone number or email address, the recipient receives a notification to accept their gift by providing a mailing address. If they decide not to accept the gift, they can redeem it for an Amazon Gift Card.

Amazon isn’t alone in starting vacation deals early. Target will kick off its holiday shopping season with a The Deal Day sale will run from October 10 to 12.
