NEW YORK (AP) – According to Amazon, free delivery for Premium members will be even faster: a promising one – day expedition on most items instead of a two – day delivery.
The company did not specify when the change would occur, but expanded its warehouse network and shipping network to deliver faster deliveries.
Amazon has long been offering delivery in a day or faster for some items, but the change will imply that a day 's free shipping will be the default rather than two days.
This decision will likely put even greater pressure on large retailers, who are trying to ship faster to catch up with Amazon.
Amazon says it will offer a one – day expedition to its premium members around the world.
