Amazon seems to have closed its Spark social network platform. The closure is less than two years since Amazon launched Spark as a game on social networks In July 2017, Spark focused on users who published images, stories, and ideas about products and purchases. Originally, it was only for Amazon Prime members. Other users could then react with "smiles" and comments.

A little like Instagram Shopping Now, Spark users could also tag Amazon products in their publications, allowing others to purchase those products by tapping the image.

Whether you're looking for inspiration for decorating your home or tips on the best running shoes, Spark allows you to easily discover and shop for stories and ideas from a community that loves what you like, "said Amazon. in an introduction to the service in 2017.

But googling Amazon Spark and clicking on the Amazon link just takes you to the recently viewed items and recommendations presented on Amazon, while typing on amazon.com/spark in your web browser opens a page called #FoundItOnAmazon.

Spark has also disappeared from the Amazon app, reported TechCrunch earlier.

Amazon did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
