The Amazon Prime Video and IMDb TV panel SDCC @ Home was chock full of genre announcements regarding their new original lineup coming later this year – led by a huge fantasy franchise and fan-favorite thriller.
In particular, there was fantastic news for those who have been patiently awaiting the Robert Jordan film adaptation. The wheel of time books. Amazon Studios gave the green light to the book-based TV series in October 2018, with production of Season 1 just wrapping up in May of this year.
The big news from showrunner Rafe Judkins is that season 1 of The wheel of time will debut on Amazon Prime Video in November 2021.
