Watch Tom Cruise, there will be another Jack Reacher in town.

In a competitive situation, Amazon got the right to develop a series based on the protagonist of Lee Child's novels. The series comes from the creator of "Scorpion", Nick Santora, who will write, show and produce executive products.

Child's "Jack Reacher" series, which has sold more than 100 million copies to date, has recently been adapted to present two new features, with Tom Cruise playing the role of the former officer of the police force American military. Both films grossed nearly $ 400 million combined.

The series is a co-production between Amazon, Skydance Television and Paramount Television. Child is also on board as EP, alongside Don Granger and Christopher McQuarrie. David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Marcy Ross will be Executive Producers of Skydance and Carolyn Harris will oversee the project on behalf of the studio.

The prospective series represents another addition to Amazon's action drama series: "Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan" recently got the go-ahead for Season 3. Paramount TV and Skydance are also involved in the John Krasinski film.

Skydance TV's films also include "Grace and Frankie" and "Altered Carbon" for Netflix, while Paramount Television has "13 reasons", "The Alienist" and "Home Before Dark" among its other productions.
