Amazon’s new Kindle Paperwhite reader is perfect for kids

Amazon has just announced many new Kindle devices, and one of the most exciting is the Kindle Paperwhite Kids. There’s also a new Kindle Paperwhite and the very first Kindle Paperwhite Signature edition.

Amazon has gone all out to announce new Kindle Paperwhite devices, but the one that really stood out was the Kindle Paperwhite Kids. Visually, it comes with a kid-friendly cover which might make it more appealing to young readers.

It also comes with a one-year Amazon Kids + subscription, which is Amazon’s $ 2.99 per month subscription that grants access to thousands of books and other kid-friendly goodies. Some books included are Guardian of the Lost Cities, Artemis Fowl, Big Nate, Harry Potter, Ramona Quimby, Warriors, and more.

The kid-friendly player also comes with a 2-year worry-free warranty, so you don’t have to worry about your kids breaking the player.

The reader is designed to be distraction-free, allowing children to keep their noses in books and away from other things. Of course, there are also parenting features that allow parents to view reading progress, add books to their child’s library, and more.

Other new Kindle Paperwhite devices from Amazon

Of course, the kid-friendly Paperwhite e-reader is just one of the new Amazon devices. There is the standard Kindle Paperwhite and the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition.

The Kindle Paperwhite Kids is based on the Kindle Paperwhite. In terms of hardware, this device comes with a larger 6.8 inch display, 300 ppi Paperwhite display, and 10% more brightness at maximum setting compared to the previous generation of Paperwhite.

Amazon pushes battery life to 10 weeks on a single charge with the Kindle Paperwhite, which is pretty solid. Plus, it only takes 2.5 hours to achieve full charging time when using a 9W or larger adapter.

The Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition adds a few more features, including wireless charging, an auto-adjusting front light that automatically changes screen brightness based on the lighting in the room, and 32GB of storage.

The Kindle Paperwhite costs $ 139.99 and is available in 8GB in black. The premium Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition costs $ 189.99, comes with 32GB of storage, and is black as well.
