Amazon’s latest Echo Buds fell below $ 100 for the first time since Prime Day. Best Buy offers the wired charging model of the active noise-canceling headphones for $ 80, down from their regular price of $ 120. If you prefer wireless charging, this particular model drops to $ 100, a savings of $ 40. Alexa-powered heads were already affordable, but the latest deal could sway those still on the fence. Especially since they only came out in April.

Amazon has upgraded its Echo Buds in the right places with the second generation model. With the right settings in the Alexa app, you can crank up the sound and take full advantage of the big bass, thanks to this new high-performance 5.7mm driver. Amazon’s digital assistant can also perform a range of tasks, from streaming music and podcasts to setting reminders and even retrieving transit information for some US cities.

The redesign also extends to the design. The earphones and charging case are 20% and 40% smaller respectively. At this price, however, you can expect discounts. One of the few areas that stays the same is battery life, which offers five hours in total and two hours from just a 15-minute charge. The only other downside is that buttons don’t always block noisy backgrounds during calls. But, with a little bit of in-app customization, you can increase your voice to help overcome this.
