Amber Alert ends, girl found safe, suspect in custody

WICHITA, Kansas (KWCH) – Update 4:55 p.m. The Amber Alert for a missing 6-year-old girl is over. KBI reports that Nina Senkbeil has been found safe and sound and that the suspect in this case, her father, Jacob Senkbeil, 32, is in custody.

Update 4:05 p.m. KBI reports that the suspect vehicle in the case of a missing 6-year-old girl was found unoccupied in Fall River. The search for the young girl, Nina Senkbeil and her father, Jacob Senkbeil, identified as the suspect in this case, continues.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) has issued an Amber Alert for a 6-year-old girl from Chanute last reported in Fall River in Greenwood County. Nina R. Senkbeil is about four feet tall and weighs about 75 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

KBI said she was last seen wearing a white Tweetie Bird shirt with a pink pattern, blue and white Nike shorts, and pink and black Nike shoes.

The girl’s father, Jacob Senkbeil, 32, has been identified as a suspect in the case. He is around 5’9, weighs around 135 pounds, and has brown hair and blue eyes. The KBI said Jacob Senkbeil was last seen wearing a green shirt, blue jeans and a blue and orange baseball cap.

At around 10:30 a.m., Nina Senkbeil was taken by her father from Santa Fe Park in Chanute, KBI said she was with her father on a supervised visit when they disappeared in an unknown direction.

At 12:15 p.m. Jacob Senkbeil and Nina Senkbeil were seen at 17515 Oak Wood Lane in Fall River, KS where the father made comments to a witness who made law enforcement believe the child is in imminent danger . The suspect drove the child in an unknown direction in a black 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee KS with an 852FGX license plate.
