An Amber alert was issued Sunday morning for a 5-year-old girl whose father-in-law told the police that she had been kidnapped by three men who had released her as well as her 2-year-old son after having kidnapped them all three, announced the Houston police.

Maleah Davis' father-in-law told police Friday night that he was traveling to the George Bush Intercontinental Airport to look for Maleah's mother, who was back from Massachusetts, when he heard a noise deaf and thought that he had a flat tire.

He said that when he stopped, he was approached by two Hispanic men who assaulted him and knocked him out, police said. According to the police, he woke up briefly while he was in a vehicle with three Hispanic men and two children.

Around 6 pm On Saturday, when he regained consciousness, the girl's father-in-law was lying on the side of the road with her 2-year-old son, authorities told the police.

According to the police, Maleah and the 2010 Chevrolet Blue Cabin Crew Cab, he said that he was traveling to the original, had disappeared. According to the authorities, he walked to a hospital in Sugar Land, where he was treated for minor injuries. The 2 year old child was not injured.

During his stay at the hospital, the father-in-law called and asked a parent to contact the police, authorities said.

Maleah would have been with three Hispanic men in the blue Chevrolet van, the police said. The last time she saw her, she wore a pink bow in her hair, a light blue zipper jacket, blue jeans and gray, white and pink sneakers.

The reason for Maleah's disappearance is unknown, the police said. The incident reportedly originated in north Houston, they said.
