Amber Heard says she’s ‘so excited’ about Aquaman 2.

The actress, 34, mitigates rumors that she will not be returning to her role as Mera in the second Aquaman movie, telling Entertainment Weekly that she is ready and preparing to film once more.

Heard’s comments come after months of unconfirmed rumors that she will not reprise the role of 2018 superhero James Wan with Jason Momoa.

“ I’m very excited about the amount of fan love and the amount of fan appreciation that Aquaman has gained and that it has created so much excitement for Aquaman and Mera that it means we will be back, ” she told EW. “I’m so excited to film this.

The actress has said production is scheduled to begin around 2021, but it’s obvious everything is on hold right now due to the pandemic.

The film has yet to be officially approved and as of yet there is no distribution or start date.

Depp was suing the UK newspaper for describing him as a ‘wife drummer’ while writing about his rocky relationship with Heard, who was also sued by Depp for suggesting he abused her in an op-ed from the Washington Post.

Although an audio recording in which Heard admitted to ‘punching’ Depp appeared in January, a judge dismissed Depp’s complaint this month, ruling that The Sun’s claims about Depp were ‘substantially true ”.

Shortly after, the actor was forced to quit his role in Fantastic Beasts 3, a Harry Potter spin-off written by his friend JK Rowling.

Depp has maintained his innocence and said he plans to appeal the UK court ruling.

Referring to those questions, Heard went on to tell EW: “ Paid rumors and paid social media campaigns don’t dictate [casting decisions] because they have no basis in reality.

“ Only fans actually made Aquaman and Aquaman 2. I’m excited to start next year.

Heard has previously written about how revealing his experience of domestic violence at the hands of such an influential figure has professional repercussions. In the article, she was revealed to be a victim of abuse and never named any particular abusers.

In a 2018 Washington Post article, she wrote: “ Friends and advisers told me that I will never work as an actress again – that I will be blacklisted.

“A film to which I was attached to recast my role. I had just shot a two-year campaign as the face of a global fashion brand, and the company let me down.
