3rd gen. Ryzen, EPYC and Radeon VII + Navi, all in the third quarter

At its annual shareholders' meeting, AMD confirmed that its third generation Ryzen, second generation EPYC processors and Navi-based graphics cards will all be launched in the third quarter of 2019.

Although we were expecting Ryzen's third-generation processors a little earlier, it looks like AMD will have full hands in the third quarter, with several launches. With the upcoming Computex 2019 show, there will be many new details regarding these new products, and AMD has already scheduled a live "Next Horizon Gaming" event for the E3 2019 streaming.

The slide also confirms that Navi-based graphics cards will replace Polaris-based cards in the consumer market, while Radeon VII will remain AMD's high-end offering, at least for this year. We have already written that the first graphics cards based on Navi will target the consumer market back in June, and even AMD's CEO, Dr. Lisa Su, confirmed at the call of the February results that Navi will coexist with Radeon VII, which will remain as the high-end graphics card.

Earlier this month, strange rumors have hinted that AMD could launch Navi-based graphics cards at E3 2019, shortly after the AMD CEO confirmed the launch of the third quarter of 2019.

This schedule means we will only place these new generation AMD products on the shelves of retailers and online retailers by July at the earliest. In any case, AMD will have a busy second half and we hope that its new generation will continue to put pressure on the competition and that the company will be able to keep the promises of its roadmap.
