Rumors around Ryzen 2700x Edition 50th Anniversary
AMD's new processor, the Ryzen 2700x 50th Anniversary Edition, has appeared on two online retailer websites: ShopBLT.com and Connection.com. ShopBLT.com removed the processor shortly after and declined pre-orders. The website stated, "We do not know when we will accept more orders for this item." The processor is still available for pre-order on Connection.com.
The processor has not been officially announced, but its appearance on the websites of online retailers shows that AMD could launch this special processor to celebrate its 50th anniversary on May 1st. Intel (INTC) launched the Core i7-8086K Edition of the 50th Anniversary last year. but it was a limited edition processor and very powerful in the field of overclocking.
Although retailers did not provide any details about the Ryzen 2700x, it was listed on ShopBLT.com at $ 340.95 and at $ 373.09 on Connection.com, which indicated that the processor was around $ 350. Before updating the processor to "out of stock", ShopBLT.com's list indicated that it would store 1,200 units. If the list is true, the Ryzen 2700x will not be a limited edition.
