Cameron Tringale and Andrew Landry share the lead before the final lap of the John Deere Classic, while Irish Seamus Power had a disappointing third round.

Power, who battled with a 65 in the second round, hit a 75 out of four to make up for his late Saturday.

The Waterford man hit three birdies in the front and back, but his progress was hampered by two double bogeys and three bogeys.

Sitting on four sub-total, he now has 12 throws of the American pair before the final round.

Tringale and Landry have a lead of one shot on the fighter squad, Tringale getting a 65, and Landry a 67, leaving the duet at 16 under.

Their compatriots Bill Haas and Adam Schenk were the two closest opponents, sitting just behind.

The Colombian Jhonattan Vegas had taken the lead at halfway, but a bad lap saw him give up. He slipped eight shots behind Tringale after a round of 76 and ended his hopes of victory.

Nick Watney, Sepp Straka and Sebastian Munoz entered the race after equaling Haas for the best score in the third round, each with a 64 mark.

Englishman Luke Donald has more than a few chances to succeed, he is seven points under par before the last round, while Scottish Martin Laird only has two shots to to perfect oneself.
