American Idol alumni Gabby Barrett and Cade Foehner welcome their first child, baby girl named Baylah May

They met as contestants in American Idol Season 16 in 2018 and tied the knot in October 2019.

And on Monday, Gabby Barrett and Cade Foehner announced they have welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Baylah May.

The couple revealed on Instagram that their daughter arrived on January 18, and they posted a photo of the swaddled toddler with his face hidden behind a large pacifier.

Barrett, 20, shared: ‘Had a lovely week with our new addition … meet our daughter Baylah May Foehner 1.18.21. ”

Foehner, 24, posted a longer post expressing his gratitude for becoming a father.

He wrote, “The Lord Jesus has given me so much that I can hardly believe it. Not only to be saved from sin because of his gospel, but also to receive a bride who is not only my best friend around the world, but who also gave me a child.

He added, “I am a man blessed beyond my comprehension”.

Foehner of Texas was eliminated from the reality competition in the Top 5.
