American investor finds stairway with knife – National News

PHILADELPHIA (AP) – A Philadelphia real estate investor said that a house he was monitoring came up with an unannounced surprise: a staircase trapped by a swing knife.

Ekrem Uysaler said that he and his team were examining the house in January when one of his colleagues saw a small line on the staircase of the house. WCAU-TV reports that he prevented his job manager from climbing the stairs and recording a video while they were pulling the line from the stairs with an emergency rod.

Pulling the line triggered a quick crutch over the staircase that was moving quickly. At the end of the crutch was stuck a large knife pointing just where a person's head would have been climbing the stairs.

Uysaler says that he has never come across anything like this before. He says "It's like" Home Alone "… at Philly."
