United States men’s national team forward Josh Sargent has signed a four-year contract with Norwich City of the English Premier League, the club announced on Monday.
“I’ve always wanted to play in the Premier League so it’s a very exciting opportunity for me,” Sargent said on the team’s website. “I heard it was a great group of guys and I’ve spoken with the head coach before and I really like what they’re trying to do here.”
Sargent, 21, comes from Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga, where he has scored 15 goals in 83 appearances in two and a half seasons. He has five goals and an assist in 16 international appearances for the United States
Norwich City got promoted to the Premier League in April and won the EFL Championship in May.
