‘American Pickers’: Frank Fritz does not return, fired – Mike Wolfe Feud

Fans of American gatherers saw the last of Frank Fritz.

EW.com reports that there are no plans for Fritz to return to the long-running History Channel series, which he had co-hosted alongside Mike Wolfe since its first premiere in 2010.

The last episode of Fritz aired in March 2020. He did not return for the last batch of episodes in the series, which were filmed amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, citing back surgery and ongoing complications of Crohn’s disease. Meanwhile, Fritz told the British tabloid The sun that he and Wolfe are lost to follow-up.

“I haven’t spoken to Mike for two years,” Fritz said. “He knew my back was fucked up, but he didn’t call me to ask how I was. It’s just like that.

Fritz also suggested that Wolfe’s ego had a lot to do with their falling out. “The show is tilted towards him 1000%,” he said. “I can’t even bend that low to show you how bad.” It is very good. It’s like you have Aerosmith and there’s Steven Tyler and he’s the leader. I found my place, I’m second and he’s number one on the show. It’s not a problem with me, maybe he has a problem.

He also alleged that Wolfe lobbied for his brother Robbie to replace him – but a History Channel rep maintains there are no plans to introduce a new host.

Wolfe, meanwhile, tells TMZ that he will miss Fritz.

“I will miss Frank, as will all of you,” he said in a statement. “I pray for the best and all good things for him in the next part of his journey.”
