Americans disagree with Senator Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., On her proposal to dismantle high-tech companies like Google, Amazon and Facebook, reveals a new NBC / WSJ poll.
Warren, a presidential candidate in 2020, has voiced her opposition to corporate giants and her plans to dismember technology companies with $ 25 billion or more in global assets, CNBC reported.

A slight majority of respondents (50 to 47%) said that companies such as Google should not be dismantled by the government, and a larger majority, between 68% and 28%, said the free market, and not the government, the decisions. However, only 36% said they were satisfied with the amount of Congressional oversight and regulation of technology companies.
The survey also revealed that Facebook was still facing serious PR problems: only 6% of those surveyed said they trusted the company, compared with 23% and 19% respectively for Amazon and Google. Ninety-three percent of respondents said they did not trust Facebook for their personal information.
A majority, 61%, of participants agreed that the use of smartphones and social media in communication was a step in the right direction.
The results were mostly divided along the party lines.

The survey of 1,000 people was conducted by telephone between March 23 and 27 and has a margin of error of 3.1%.
