Milwaukee Bucks senior vice president Alex Lasry has made no secret of his dissatisfaction with the alleged NBA double standard. This follows reports that league officials are examining possible tampering violations by the Bucks in their attempt to negotiate a signing-and-trade deal with the Sacramento Kings for Bogdan Bogdanovic.
The Bucks Frame took a passive-aggressive approach on Twitter, re-tweeting multiple instances of other teams having committed the same thing in previous years, but was not penalized by the league.
Alex Lasry talks about tampering with other teams, but he’s not claiming his team hasn’t made it clear that they have.

Lasry cited examples from the Dallas Mavericks and Boston Celtics, even before the free agency era was supposed to begin.
The Bucks are said to be in hot waters after allegedly contacting the Serbian sniper before they were even legally allowed to do so. NBA teams are only allowed to negotiate terms when free agency begins on Friday, November 20.
Initial reports claimed that Bogdanovic’s (along with Justin James) move to Milwaukee was pretty much a deal made in exchange for Donte DiVincenzo, DJ Wilson and Ersan Ilyasova heading to Sacramento. However, this is no longer the case as Bogdanovic will enter the market as a restricted free agent.
Lasry, on the other hand, has already deleted those re-tweets, but it’s clear he’s buying the whole NBA proof by wanting Giannis to play in a bigger market. The Bucks previously acquired Jrue Holiday in an attempt to keep superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo remaining, and Bogdanovic was supposed to complete the puzzle. To make matters worse, the Bucks have already given up on Ilyasova’s $ 7 million salary, which was key to absorbing the 28-year-old swingman’s new contract.
The Bucks can still save the deal and just change the package, but that will be tricky especially if the NBA decides to penalize them after the investigation.
