The shooter who is accused of killing four people and injuring a fifth at an office complex in Orange, Calif., Was identified by authorities Thursday as Aminadab Gaxiola Gonzalez, 44.
Gonzalez, who is from Fullerton, is said to have known his victims, including a 9-year-old boy.

Orange police said her motive could relate to personal or professional relationships and Lt. Jennifer Amat noted that the shooting was “not a random act of violence.”
However, she added that it could take weeks to determine Gonzalez’s relationship with the victims.
Gonzalez was injured as officers responded to the scene Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. PT, and was then taken to a local hospital.
In a Facebook post, the Orange Police Department said an “officer involved in a shooting” had occurred.
Gonzalez and a woman found while cradling the deceased boy were both in “critical but stable condition”.
Gonzalez had stayed at a motel in nearby Anaheim and used a car to get to the two-story office building on Lincoln Avenue.
Upon his arrival, Gonzalez chained the doors of the building, forcing officers to engage with him from outside.

He was caught on security video wearing a bandana on his face and carrying a semi-automatic handgun and a backpack containing pepper spray, handcuffs and ammunition.
The target was Unified Homes, a mobile home brokerage company, and victims were found in offices on the second floor of the building and on an exterior landing.
If convicted, Gonzalez would be eligible for the death penalty, Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer told reporters on Thursday.

In 2015, Gonzalez was indicted in Orange County with child cruelty and other counts, according to the Associated Press and NBC Los Angeles.
Speaking to Anaheim City spokesperson Lauren Gold, the AP reported on Friday that he pleaded guilty to battery misdemeanor, served one day in jail and that all other charges were rejected. The conviction was overturned in 2017.
It is not clear if the child was hers.
NBC Los Angeles reported that other court documents showed Gonzalez was cited for traffic violations in 2014 and 2015 and one of the cases indicated that he was working as a commercial truck driver.
Spitzer said police were investigating whether the 9-year-old boy – suspected of being a child of one of the employees – had been abused before the fatal shooting.
“We know during the pandemic that child abuse and elder abuse were significantly underreported because people in these settings stayed at home,” Spitzer told reporters. “In this case, we have a child who has passed away, and I want to know, and I want to take into consideration, whether there have been any issues of child abuse in the past, as that may or may not be relevant to the particular case. “

CBS Los Angeles said a woman who claimed to be one of the victims’ family members said Gonzalez had been married to an agent who had left the company.
