Amir Khan calls Manny Pacquiao after dominating Billy Dib

Amir Khan wants Manny Pacquiao. After the 32-year-old Mancunian won the fight against Billy Dib in Saudi Arabia on Friday, he called Pacquiao, whom he'd been chasing for years.

Khan scored a fourth-round TKO victory over Dib in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, when his opponent's corner kicked out the sponge. It was a silly fight that should never have taken place. The fight took place at welterweight, Khan's usual weight class. Meanwhile, Dib is a former world featherweight champion and has beaten for the last time in featherweight. So he was riding three weight classes in the fight.

The speed of Khan's hand seemed good, but he was also able to attack with confidence because he knew that diminutive Dib could not hurt him. Khan's natural weight weighs 17 pounds more than Dib's. So yes, it was not really a victory to celebrate or to boast.

Pacquiao and Khan were training together when they fought under Hall of Fame coach Freddie Roach. Still, it always seemed that Khan wanted to enter the ring with the big Filipino. Pacquiao has absolutely no reason to take this fight.

Every big game Khan got, he went back into the water.

It was destroyed by Danny Garcia, knocked out by Canelo Alvarez and completely outclassed by Terence Crawford. His career record of 33-5 is not impressive because he has won a lot of victories on medium-sized competitions. I will credit him for never having stepped back in front of a big name, but every time he faces a leading opponent, he fades.

This does not prevent him from speaking big. After his victory on Friday night, he called for a fight with Pacquiao in Saudi Arabia at the end of the year.

Pacquiao is a little busy right now, as he will face Keith Thurman on July 20th.

We'll see if Pacquiao gives Khan the time of day or focuses on other more interesting fights.
