For over three months now, Among us fans were desperate for the release of the new map, titled Airship.
The card was officially revealed by Geoff Keighley at the Game Awards in 2020 and received an “early 2021” release window.
Slowly but surely, however, “early 2021” began to slip away and we got to March 18 before we heard any concrete news.
Fortunately, this update has revealed a lot. Here’s everything we know about the Among us new card and its exit time.

What do we know about the airship so far?
One of the airship’s main selling points is the fact that it is the biggest Among us card so far. It could be great for imposters and teammates.
Crewmates have more places to hide from the Impostor, however, the Impostor has more places to run after committing a murder.
It’s also confirmed that there will be a ton of new features, including:
- All new tasks
- Different departure rooms
- Account System
- Ladders
- New hats
- Moving platforms
- So much more
What is the release time of the new Among Us map?
While developers InnerSloth have yet to reveal an official release time for the game’s March 31 release date, we can make some solid guesses.
In terms of Steam and the PC version, we imagine this could be one of two timelines.
If the new map is treated as a new game, it could drop on Steam at 9:00 p.m. or midnight PT (midnight / 3:00 a.m. ET and 5:00 a.m. / 8:00 a.m. UK time).
InnerSloth is probably anticipating one or two server-related issues as players massively jump into the game to check out the airship. Since they’re a small team of just five, they might release the update later today, so they don’t fight the fires overnight.
The last two fixes arrived on Steam between 10 a.m. and noon PT. It’s easily plausible that the map could be released within that time frame, especially since Steam updates around 10 a.m. PT.
Nintendo Switch is a little harder to predict, as Nintendo says that “DLC for games is not being added at a regular rate.” However, I would expect the card to launch simultaneously on the Switch and PC, as well as mobile devices, so it’s safe to guess that it will be in the post windows above.
