According to The Blast and TMZ, Joycelyn Savage was at the forefront of Kelly's family and friends when the singer, born Robert Kelly, appeared before the judge, who set a $ 1 million bail.

Gerald Griggs, Joycelyn Savage's parents' lawyer, Tim and JonJelyn Savage, could not confirm if she was present. However, he reiterated that he and his clients had not had contact with Joycelyn Savage for two years.

The Indians believe that Kelly "brainwashed" their child and held him against his will at a worship home in Atlanta, where he was expelled last February.

The Indians, who said they had met Kelly's team five times to meet their daughter, also said the songwriter prevented Joycelyn Savage from contacting them. Joycelyn Savage denied the claims.

His parents sent their last meeting request in January.

"The Savage family is waiting for the day when they can have a seamless contact with their daughter outside the predation and manipulation of Robert Sylvester Kelly," Griggs told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

On Friday, Kelly was charged with 10 counts of aggravated sexual assault.

Cook County attorney Kim Foxx unveiled a large indictment against four victims, including three minors at the time of the charges.

Kelly, who denied all allegations, went to the police on Friday night and remains in custody following the bail hearing.

"We understand the judge's decision on the bond issue and the right of a criminal accused to be presumed innocent," said Griggs. "As the facts unfold, this presumption of innocence will fade and a conviction will be guaranteed."
