An American Airlines flight to LaGuardia Airport was forced to turn around Sunday – after striking a flock of geese.
The pilot of Flight 2163 reported hitting a bird during takeoff from Boston Logan International Airport at approximately 10:08 am The aircraft turned around and landed at Boston Airport within 11 minutes, indicated the airline company.
An image posted on Twitter shows what looks like a trail of blood on the cockpit window.

The 99 passengers took another flight that landed in New York at 12:39, according to a spokeswoman for the airline. Four crew members were also on board.
The plane, an Embraer E190 aircraft, has been inspected, authorized and re-rotated, the airline said. The pilots will also be doing other flights on Sunday.
