An American Airlines passenger jumped from a ground plane after landing at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) on Friday morning.

The crew of American Airlines flight 1346 from Minneapolis asked the police to meet shortly after 6 am, after the passenger had disturbed the flight, confirmed the carrier to Fox News .

"Once the flight arrived at the boarding gate, the passenger opened one of the doors and jumped off the plane," according to the airline company.

"The police and paramedics responded."

According to the Phoenix police, during the flight, a 25-year-old passenger began to touch the faces of his passengers and spray them with some kind of liquid from a spray bottle. A witness who spoke with the Arizona Republic stated that the man was swearing and hitting several passengers.

"We do not know what was in the bottle," police said in a media advisory obtained by Fox News.
