A man serving a life sentence for the murder of seven people at a nursing school in Oakland died in prison, authorities said Wednesday.
According to the California Department of Prison and Rehabilitation Services, One Goh, 50, died March 20 at the California State Prison in Sacramento. The spokeswoman, Vicky Waters, told The Associated Press that the cause of death had not yet been determined.
KTVU said the Sacramento County coroner would determine the cause of death.
Goh was sentenced in July 2017 to seven consecutive sentences of life imprisonment and 271 years of imprisonment without the possibility of parole for the murders perpetrated at the University of Oikos. Police said Goh was angry with school administrators for expelling him and refusing to reimburse his tuition.
Goh did not dispute the murder charges after one judge declared him mentally fit to stand trial – he had been found unfit in 2013 and 2015. Goh had registered his plea for two weeks more late and had escaped a possible death sentence.

The April 2, 2012 shootout killed university receptionist Katleen Ping, 24, and students Doris Chibuko, 42; Lydia Sim, 21 years old; Grace Kim, 23 years old; Judith Seymour, 53 years old; Sonam Choedon, 33 years old; and Tshering Bhutia, 38 years old. Three others survived gunshot wounds.
