ATLANTA – According to authorities, a police officer shot and killed a man who had shown a gun while he was being chased into the woods in Atlanta.
Atlanta police told the media that the police officer had been arrested by a person who had heard shots fired around a strip club about a Sunday morning near the Interstate 85 in Southwest Atlanta.
Police said the officer found the man who had rushed to the woods. Authorities say that the officer fired with his gun after seeing a gun in the hands of the man.
The identity of the killed man and the policeman was not released.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation investigates.
