A woman was killed and another wounded after being axed Saturday in a New York City apartment where police found a small, unharmed child.

Police found the deceased woman partially beheaded after being called to the Brooklyn apartment around 1:30 am, the New York Post reported. The victim was in his twenties. The Daily News has identified her as Kayla Ruperto.

The wounded woman, 21-year-old Angela Valle, was bleeding profusely when she stumbled out of the apartment and reported an Uber driver to take her to the hospital. reported the newspaper. The Uber pilot called 911 instead. The doctors say that she was seriously injured.
