A toddler in Indiana suffered serious injuries Saturday, after his grandfather supported him with a lawn mower, officials said.
The Jennings County Sheriff's Office said on Facebook that the incident occurred around 1 pm on block 3600 of Grayford Road in Commiskey, located about 70 miles south of Indianapolis.
"MPs are investigating and describing until now a terrible accident," police said. "Our thoughts are with the family in this difficult time."

Police said William and Beverly Waltermire went to the sheriff's office in North Vernon to request an ambulance from their grandson.
While William was mowing the lawn on a property on Grayford Road, the 2-year-old ran to his grandfather, pursued by his grandmother, police said.
The boy then fell while the grandfather was backing up and went under the lawn mower while it was still working, the couple told the police.
