Auburn gymnast Samantha Cerio urged people not to post and share the horrible video that shows her knees and legs flexed unnaturally.
Last week, Cerio was forced to retire from sport after the paralyzing injury she suffered at a competition in Louisiana.
"Those of you who publish and tag me in the video of my injury, I ask you to stop," she wrote on Twitter on April 10.
