PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – People usually give up beer or alcohol during Lent, but an Ohio man says he will only drink beer and nothing else.
Del Hall works at Fifty West Brewing Company in Cincinnati. He says that he will only drink beer on Easter Sunday and that he also gives up all food.

"I'm nervous, I'm very nervous about it. I only fasted for 4 days. "
So for 46 days, Hall says he'll have an assortment of beers for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Hall says that he follows the example of the 1600s monks who were fasting during the season with a beer-based diet.
"It would be their liquid bread, and it would essentially support them for 46 days of Lent," said Hall.
He will also document his Lenten beer diet on social media and track his weight.
But Hall says he has a game plan and wants to see if he can prove it's possible.
"I am a veteran of the army. I have been the number one of my class in the army. I ran a full marathon before making 26.2 miles. I've already faced some big challenges, but it sounds very intimidating, so I'm curious to know if I'm at best. to the challenge, whether I will be able to do it or not. "
Hall says that he will continue to drink water during the fast and that he will consult a doctor.
