Analogue Pocket handheld console delayed again, this time until October

The Analogue Pocket, a retro all-rounder handheld console at $ 199 capable of playing Game Boy, Game Gear, Neo Geo Pocket Color, and Atari Lynx games from their original cartridges, has been delayed again. Analogue is offering a full refund to anyone who has already pre-ordered a system and isn’t willing to wait until October, assuming the system is released at that time. According to the company’s blog, “There have been sudden and severe shortages of electrical components as well as logistical issues leading to a domino effect of challenges for almost everyone in the industry.” Separately, he tweeted that the Super Nt system will be restocked in April, with Mega SG and DAC shortly thereafter. 2021 could still be a great year for alternative consoles, as long as the global chip shortage doesn’t interfere.
