Four days after Teen Mom OG Star Amber Portwood was arrested for domestic battery after allegedly assaulting her boyfriend Andrew Glennon with a shoe. Andrew has formally filed a petition to establish paternity regarding his son James, which includes a request for an urgent hearing regarding his custody.
The motion was filed at the Marion Circuit Court earlier in the day. We have not yet been able to obtain a copy of the deposit, but the online records indicate that it is a "combined verified query regarding paternity orders; and, for an emergency hearing concerning the custody of the child. Amber Portwood is designated as the Respondent and James Glennon is identified as the child.
Curiously, the deposit includes addresses and lists an address for Amber in Anderson, Indiana, but an address in Indianapolis for Andrew and James. It is not clear if this means that the couple currently lives separately with James currently staying with James. The address of Indianapolis is the house presented during the last seasons of Teen Mom OG, but is also the address where the altercation took place which led to the arrest of Amber.
Anderson's address is Amber's old house, which you can see on these photos of Amber with ex-boyfriend Clinton Yunker.
A petition for paternity is that Andrew takes the necessary steps to legally establish himself as James' father. (Do not forget that Amber and he are not married.) Establishing paternity is usually the first step before setting guidelines for things like custody and / or alimony. Since the filing was also requesting an emergency custody hearing, I assume that Amber and Andrew are either separated or that Andrew is simply putting something in place in case they break up. This is purely speculation, however.
We will continue to try to get the actual repository to find out if there is more information about exactly what Andrew is looking for in terms of custody, etc. We will update it as soon as we know more!
UPDATE – TMZ reports that "Amber Portwood's boyfriend and dad wants an emergency hearing to get sole custody of their child … according to new legal documents."
