Some Android apps are crashing for some people right now, but Google is working on a fix. The issue is caused by a system component called Android System WebView which allows Android apps to display web content, but it currently has some kind of issue that causes apps to crash.
“We are aware of an issue with WebView which has caused some apps to crash on Android for some users,” Google said in a statement. The edge. “We are currently working on full scope validation and a fix is in progress.”
Some users say that to take off the latest WebView update should fix the issue – and in fact, Samsung’s official U.S. Support Twitter account recommends do exactly that.
Hi! Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Please remove the Webview update and then restart the phone. Here are the steps: Go to Settings> Apps> tap the three dots in the top right corner> Show system apps> find Android System WebView> select Uninstall updates. ^ Nina

Google also recognizes issues with Gmail on Android on the Google Workspace status page. The company recommends using the desktop interface until the issues are resolved.
