Angelina Jolie had no idea Harington kit was thrown into the Eternals

Marvel fans were surprised to learn that Kit Harington was joining the cast of The Eternals, but apparently not as surprised as co-star Angeline Jolie. Jolie did not discover that Harington had engaged to play Dane Whitman until he joined the rest of the cast on stage at the 23rd hour. In an interview with ET, Jolie confessed that she and the other members of the cast had been taken aback by the sudden announcement.

"I'm not sure what we can say," Jolie told ET. "I always think we see ourselves behind the scenes, like," Have you heard …? "I did not know Kit was in the movie! It's all a problem, I'm delighted, but I had no idea."

According to Jolie's comments, it seems that Harington is a very recent addition to the distribution of The Eternals, which would explain why his role was not announced at Comic-Con last month.

To be fair, Jolie is not the first MCU star to be surprised to learn one of her co-stars. According to Kevin Feige, Gwyneth Paltrow had no idea that Samuel L. Jackson was part of the MCU, even though they appeared together in several movies. Paltrow also did not realize that she had appeared in Spider-Man: Homecoming of 2017.

The only question now is what would happen if Paltrow's Jolie Theta and Pepper Potts films appeared together in the same Marvel movie. If no actress knows the other, does the movie exist?
