Angelina Jolie opens up about divorce, UN with Edward Enninful: Vogue

Finally! Angelina Jolie and I have something in common.

In a new British Vogue profile, in which she and editor Edward Enniful spend most of the time complimenting each other, the tomb Raider The star and one famous person commented on the state of the United Nations: “What I hate is the lack of attention by governments to actually solve why people are fleeing.”

Right answer!

He came amid a flurry of other tangents and rants from Los Feliz’s most mysterious woman, who now resides in a mansion that once belonged to filmmaker Cecil B Demille, another topic of conversation with Vogue. “I felt a little pressure building. As if I had slipped into where DeMille and Chaplin were going to hang out. I love the most that there isn’t an entertainment room, but lots of trails and places to walk and think. I feel very lucky that we have this right now.

After the divorce, Jolie admitted that she was not too hot. Enniful asked, “Do you feel like you are at a happy stage in your life?” She responded, very solemnly, that “I don’t know”, since she “was focusing on healing our family. It comes back slowly, like ice melting and blood flowing back into my body. Enniful then told her it was a trip, and Jolie pointed out that “I’m not here … I’m not there yet.” But I hope to be. Disappointing times!

There is also a good bit of pot on his next Marvel project, Eternals. Enniful inquired about a “gold bodysuit” he had heard about on set, and Jolie said:

I love this cast, and that we’ve all come together. I signed up to support Chloé [Zhao]Marvel’s vision and Marvel’s commitment to expanding the way we see ‘superheroes’. Running in a gold bodysuit wasn’t how I imagined my 40s. But it’s really crazy, I think.

Later in the interview, she told a story about her kids and a trampoline, which echoed her melancholy mood.

I can’t wait to be in my 50s – I feel like I’m going to hit my 50s. Even though we were on the trampoline the other day, the kids said, “No mom don’t do that. You will hurt yourself. “And I thought, ‘My God, isn’t that funny?’ There was a day when I was an action star, and now the kids are telling me to get off the trampoline because I will hurt me.

There’s also a bit where she talked about raising world-conscious children – “I know it might sound strange, but don’t make them have a duty to do good or give back” – she mentioned a collaboration with the luxury skincare brand Guerlain, his favorite. She would have a joint project with the brand and UNESCO to train women beekeepers in Cambodia. “In fact, one of the first women to enter the program will be from the region where we work in Cambodia.”

As for the most interesting thing that no one knows about her, Jolie told Enniful that she is “a closet foreign policy. I’m a little more boring than people think … I’m a bit of a geek. What does that make us, I wonder?
