Anna Kendrick to star in new thriller “Alice, Darling”

Anna Kendrick is set to star as a deranged girlfriend in brand new female thriller, Alice, honey. In the film, the Oscar-nominated actress will embark on a girl’s journey that goes awry when a local girl goes missing and Alice’s volatile boyfriend, played by Charlie Carrick (Reign, Departure) arrives unexpectedly. Kendrick, who plays Alice, will be joined by Wunmi Mosaku (Loki, Lovecraft Country) and Kaniehtiio Horn (Bark, Letterkenny) like Alice’s best friends. Directed by Mary Nighy, Alice, honey will mark Kendrick’s second outing with Lionsgate, following Paul Feig’s black comedy in 2018 A simple favor. In addition to Nighy, the thriller will be produced and written by a female-led team including Alanna Francis, Katie Bird Nolan, Lindsay Tapscott and Christina Piovesan. “Alice, honey is a subtle and nuanced story about coercion and control, ”Nighy said. “As a director, I couldn’t have wished for a better cast of talented actors and creators to bring this important story to life.
