Dannielynn birkhead was only 5 months old when his mother Anna nicole smith died suddenly at the age of 39.
Throughout her 14 years of life, Dannielynn has learned details about Anna Nicole through photos and videos, or stories told by her father, Larry Birkhead. But now, ahead of the 14th anniversary of Anna Nicole’s death on February 8, the teenager is looking for answers about the mother she never had in a special ABC episode. 20/20 aired on Friday February 5.

Fans of the reality TV star will recall growing up in small town Texas before moving to Houston, where the single mom got a job at a strip club. It was there that she met her future husband, J. Howard Marshall, a billionaire businessman 63 years his senior. He ended up supporting her and her baby until her tragic death in 1995.
J. Howard also promised to support himself and his son. Daniel Wayne Smith after his death, but his sons and Anna found themselves in a legal battle which resulted in the US Supreme Court.
