Announcing Xbox Free Games with Gold for March 2019

Another month brings a new series of free games on all consoles, with the offer confirmed via Xbox Games With Gold for March 2019 bringing some heavyweights to fans. Xbox owners who pay monthly fees for online access have long been receiving gifts to continue subscribing to Xbox Live, and some spectacular titles have reached this promotional service.

Last month, the February 2019 Xbox Games With Gold games featured titles such as Super Bomberman R and Bloody: Curse of the Moon. Although these were satisfactory, the selection did not really compete with Games With Gold in January 2019, which featured the brilliant Celestial as a gift. Not content to have spent a month, Microsoft bounced back with an impressive range of free games that arrived in March 2019.

Turning to Xbox Wire, Microsoft has confirmed the multitude of titles arriving at Xbox Games With Gold in March 2019. Without further ado, the full list is available below:

  • Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion: Available from March 1st to 31st on Xbox One
  • Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2: Available from March 16th to April 15th on Xbox One
  • Star Wars Republic Commando: Available from March 1st to 15th on Xbox One and Xbox 360
  • Metal Gear Rising: revenge: Available from March 16 to 31 on Xbox One and Xbox 360

The first standing, Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion should have fun for those who admire the animated Cartoon Network show. The premise is that the country of Ooo has been submerged under water for some reason. So it's up to Jake, the dog, and to Finn, the human, to save the situation. Most importantly, Xbox One users will also be gifted Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, which is a competitive shooter in the third person, based on the team, which picks up several well-known characters from the Plants against Zombies tower defense game. It's a surprisingly fun and competitive shooter that will surely surprise players.

Microsoft does not stop there, but also plunges into its backward-compatible library to offer Star Wars: Republic Commando from the original Xbox. This is one of the most memorable spinoffs of the Star wars IP and it is certain that fans will find themselves in a distant galaxy thanks to its engaging approach of the front lines of the Clone Wars. Finally and especially, Metal Gear Rising: revenge from the era of Xbox 360 is a hack-and-slash and action-packed take on iconic Metal gear series.

It is particularly strange that these last two games are present on Xbox Games With Gold for March, because Star Wars and Konami had both presented titles in the February offers – Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy and Super Bomberman R (which also includes Metal gear characters), respectively. It may be because of this that the chips fell after the negotiations on the publication of titles, but it's still fun to emphasize.
