Anonymous player harshly criticizes Celtics stars

The Boston Celtics are currently riding first class on the wrestling bus so far this NBA season. Who would have predicted that at this point in the season they would have fewer wins than the New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls and Charlotte Hornets? Nobody, that’s who.

The Celtics are 8-14 since returning to the field after their COVID-19 hiatus. So far, no player has shot himself or the coaching staff in the media. General manager Danny Ainge took responsibility, taking the blame for the team’s struggles as he made the roster.

While it’s Ainge’s responsibility to sign and trade players to make the roster, he has little control over what happens on the pitch. Right now the Celtics are just not a very good team despite having two All-Stars in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown on the squad.

The tandem do all the heavy lifting for the offensive team as Kemba Walker is still coming back from off-season knee surgery. They combine for 51 points per game, but the team doesn’t win. And, there is one NBA player who believes the losses will continue to pile up as long as the Celtics rely on the Brown / Tatum combination.

An anonymous player recently provided harsh criticism from the Boston duo.

“Tatum & Brown can’t be your superstars, they just do things to help their game. They don’t get easy shots on someone else. All you need to know is score. “

It is a pity that the player did not attach his name to this quote. Nonetheless, it’s a scathing review from one of their peers. By just looking at their assist numbers, they could probably do a bit more to involve their teammates.

Without their main assistant, Marcus Smart, you’re hoping that one of the cornerstones of the young franchise would step up and adjust their game, but they haven’t done it yet. The proof is in the win-lose column.

In order for the Celtics to take their game to the next level, one of Jaylen Brown or Jayson Tatum has to start developing his game. Although this is an anonymous quote, NBA players have already forgotten more about basketball that most people will never learn in their life.

This assessment is not without merit and it may be time for the young Celtics duo to look in the mirror and make changes to help the team start winning games.
