A warming trend begins Sunday afternoon as pressure rises in the region, but not before a cold start to the day.

Morning temperatures around the valley again plunged into the 30s this morning, with temperatures in single digit positions and teenagers in many highland communities.

The highs of the afternoon will always be colder than normal, but warmer than they have been. Metro Phoenix will be on top of the top 60 this afternoon.

High clouds are flowing into Arizona today, but there is no rain associated with these clouds. The breezes will be light.

Road conditions are improving in the mountains, but be aware that ice and snow persist.

For next week, expect periods of high clouds and sunshine with milder temperatures.

At the present time, no rain is expected until Saturday at least.

In Phoenix, look for partly cloudy skies and a maximum of 63 sundays with a minimum of 40. For Monday, another day partly cloudy with a maximum of 67 and a minimum of 45. The summits reach the lowest of the 70s on Tuesday and culminate in the middle of the month. Wednesday from the 70's until the next weekend. The lows will reach the 50s Wednesday morning.
