Another possible sample]Nokia shares a superb presumptive sample of photos from Nokia 9 PureView

Earlier in the day, nature photographer Konsta Punkka posted on Instagram an impressive sample that was "captured and edited entirely on [unnamed] Nokia phone. "It's a little speculative, but with our expectations for an announcement from the MWC for the Nokia 9 PureView, which is focused on the camera, it is possible that the photo comes from the phone. Previous teasers and camera leaks have shown a huge layout with 5 cameras with Zeiss optics.

The critical analysis of the photo will be at least a little flawed: the artist admits that the photo has been changed, the resolution of the sample provided prevents any pixel detection and that the compression of Instagram hit. The EXIF ​​data has also been removed, so the specifications of the camera that took them are unknown.

Nevertheless, by ignoring the compression of the photo, the extended dynamic range and the fine details of the sample are at once apparent, and the halo effects of the HDR processing probably used to get it are not bad – although they're just a little noticeable around the rock framing the edges and the central stone pillar. (Cody argues that it could be a squeeze.) The details in the shadow areas may not be as accurate as you could hang with a DSLR and a cool lens, but if it comes from a phone, it's awesome.

Although the dynamic range looks impressive, some of this contrast might be a little exaggerated. However, if you can create shadows as far in the post without killing the black levels, it's still awesome in my book. Nevertheless, take both my analysis and the image itself with a grain of salt, because we can not say how much these changes can be heavy.

There is also what appears to be a chromatic aberration / visible color fringe at the top left of the photo on the edge of the rock wall, which could probably be further corrected with modifications.

I'd like us to take a look at the original photo before compressing Instagram (and the artist's changes) so that we can see how it looks. manages the finer details. While this picture is pretty beautiful as a whole, at native resolution, I can see compression artifacts in high-contrast areas, as well as on distant and near grass. I'd like to see how he handles these high-contrast fine textures without the veil of Instagram to mess it up. Some cameras that take good pictures when viewed as an overall image (such as the OnePlus 6 / 6T) do so by turning these details into mud during processing, which means you can not in principle do not trim without eliminating these defects.
