Another rumor suggests ultra-fast storage for the OnePlus 7 Pro

[ad_1]

We are only a few days away from the official unveiling of OnePlus 7, May 14, and rumors and riddles continue to circulate. Current information is on UFS 3.0 high-speed storage, which apparently will be heading towards the OnePlus 7 Pro.

Sources talking to usually reliable XDA developers say that the Pro model will be the first phone to use the storage standard announced last year.

The main improvements are in reading and writing speeds, which means that whenever OnePlus 7 Pro has to save something in the internal memory or drop something that has already been backed up, everything should be done very, very fast.

In fact, it is a rumor that leaks in the previous specifications would have been disclosed. So we think this is very likely to happen, even if it could push the premium on the Pro model at the same time.

Storage upgrade

UFS stands for Universal Flash Storage, and the third generation of technology improves the connections between storage and the phone, which theoretically should do everything faster.

UFS 3.0 chips can also handle higher temperatures, which can be useful if you push your phone with high level games.

We learn that the OnePlus 7 Pro will have 128 or 256 GB internal storage. OnePlus 7 standard is configured to match these storage levels, but may not have the UFS 3.0 upgrade.

Whatever specifications and designs are in place, we'll know for sure when OnePlus will be revealed all May 14th. As always, we will bring you the ads as they happen.
