The report also highlighted the devastating working conditions at BioWare and their impact not only on Anthem but also Mass Effect Andromeda.
In response to Kotaku's report, BioWare accused Kotaku of targeting certain developers and putting their efforts to the test. However, the movement turned against them, many believing that the studio's response was disdainful and that it showed no commitment to making things better.
Former BioWare developers corroborated Kotaku's report separately and added that BioWare's games had suffered from the management practices that many industry developers are suffering.
