Because the world is strange and confusing, Anthem's first day's patch will arrive a week after thousands of people start playing it. Fortunately, this should improve one of the most common problems with the first release: its load times.

Arrived at the official release date of the game on February 22 (it was made available to EA Origin Access Premier subscribers on the 15th), the fix is ​​at least varied, but it puts loading times (and a bug that was causing an infinite number of load screens) all the way up.

To gauge the extent of the problem, the anthem subreddit is on fire with articles on the subject. A post sees a / dragonoob44 time the time it takes to exit Freeplay to change gears, then to return to it, resulting in more than 7 minutes of loading. This is not an unusual complaint.

We have not yet determined the effectiveness of this patch, but it will be good news for those who are just trying to play their new game.

The update will also fix problem tracking, disconnect and crash issues, as well as changes to weapon and equipment modifiers.

  • The team screen now displays the correct information for each player.
  • Fixed a number of issues preventing captions from getting stuck on the screen after the dialogue ended
  • Settings should not be reset when you exit and restart the game on Xbox One
  • Motion blur can now be disabled properly
