Anthony Adams has the best solution to offensive bear problems

Three years after the start of Matt Nagy’s experiment and the attack is in ruins. Injuries, inconsistency and poor play along the offensive line made it virtually impossible to score points. A change of game calls did not work. And meanwhile, teams in the league with better lines, more stable quarterback play, and savvy play appeal are racking up points in batches.

So what does retired defensive lineman Anthony Adams suggest to Bears Wire’s Brendan Sugrue? A plan crazy enough to work: “Just throw away half the playbook,” Adams said. “You look at a playbook of offensive players, and this thing weighs 50 pounds. Reduce it to 25 pounds. “

Seriously, this is it. This is the brilliant advice given by Spice Adams himself. And frankly, that’s what I’m here for.

Among Adams’ other radical ideas:

• “Perform a few powers, get back to basics, put on a tail and go into ‘I’ formation.
• “Come back to the smashed mouth, the snot in your nose football.”
• “We are going to use the power, we are going to set the trap, against.

What a remarkable set of concepts. Maybe Nagy should consider handing over the gaming duties to Adams? Now that’s something the Packers wouldn’t see coming!

Laugh as much as you want, but Adams is right. Simplifying the offense would not be the worst idea. Reduce it. Focus on the things that worked. Then build from those games. Rather than being a game collector who launches games seemingly on a whim, be a gamer who uses the coins as if they are working hand in hand with each other. Hey, we’ve got some crazier ideas!
