Shame on Fergie's national anthem

… at the NBA All-Star Game

Talk about a total of 180 for the performance of the national anthem at this year's NBA All-Star Game … sorry, Fergie.

Anthony Hamilton took the reign Sunday to make his own rendition of "The Stars and Stripes", and he absolutely killed him … even with a slowed version – unlike its predecessor.

The soul singer took his time and hit every note he needed … and the crowd seemed to appreciate it thoroughly. Even more telling … no NBA player was laughing. You will remember … Fergie had guys like Draymond Green and others laugh on the ground.

Fergie finally came and apologized for her performance after she was roasted by just about everyone, saying she did her best.

No question … Anthony beat Fergie. But the real question is now, who did better … AH or Marvin Gaye??? In case you do not know, MG announced what many considered to be the best interpretation of the national anthem during the NBA All-Star Game in 1983.

Now, Anthony's performance is considered even better than this gem. It's hard, but they are definitely in a category of their own.
