Antonio Brown passes reading books to textbooks.
The wide receiver, who had played only one game for the New England Patriots, announced his class schedule on Instagram Monday and Central University spokeswoman Heather Smith confirmed Monday that he started taking classes online last week. Smith stated that he was not attending any classes on campus.

Brown had received a scholarship from Florida International University after high school, but had been fired due to an altercation with security. Brown soon after enrolled in central Michigan and began his college football career with fanfare.
He ended up playing for the Chippewas from 2007 to 2009. He accumulated more than 1,000 yards in his first and last season in central Michigan. He had 998 yards in his second season.
Brown's 2019 season was highly publicized, mainly for the wrong reasons.

He was released by the Oakland Raiders before he could play a regular season game for the team. He was subsequently signed by the patriots and released 11 days after taking office.
Between his stay at the Raiders and the Patriots, Brown was charged with sexual assault and rape as part of a civil suit brought by his former coach. He then received a second charge of sexual assault in a Sports Illustrated report. Brown denied the charges against him.
